Highway reconstruction project wins award

December 6, 2018

The reconstruction of flood-damaged Minnesota Highway 210 recently received special recognition at the Transportation Construction Grading Innovations Technology Forum.

Barr and project lead Veit & Company shared the Grading and Base Award for their work to rebuild the highway and repair the surrounding slopes damaged by massive slides in 2012. Barr provided geotechnical investigations of the failed slopes, developed stabilization designs and a long-term monitoring system, and provided environmental compliance assistance to support construction. The highway re-opened in 2017.
