The person selected for this position will work on a variety of projects involving civil/environmental engineering. Work will include detail and conceptual engineering, design, layout, and planning of pumping, piping, and treatment systems. Assignments will also include preparation of construction plans and specifications, spreadsheet preparation, site development design, report writing, construction cost estimating, and construction support services such as evaluating bids, clarifying documents, reviewing shop drawings, preparing operations and maintenance manuals, reviewing monthly progress reports and assistance with start-up and troubleshooting of new and existing treatment and pumping systems. The work may at times involve short-term out-of-town assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in civil/environmental engineering.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certified, or ability to obtain PE within one year.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, AFT Fathom software.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative.
  • Demonstrated success in building working relationships and working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Work experience designing wells.
  • Project management experience.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams.

NOTE: Some work locations will feature the rough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment. Safety training will be provided prior to being given work assignments on these sites. Applicants may be asked to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients.
