Response plan and treatment plant design remove PFAS from city’s drinking water To address PFAS in the city of Bemidji's water supply in Minnesota, Barr designed an 8,500-square-foot plant for fast-track construction. The plant began continuous operations in March 2021—only 14 months after the start of design.

When a city discovered PFAS levels in its drinking water were approaching the regulatory limits, Barr developed a two-phased approach—a short-term response to address contamination and a treatment plant design to help ensure a safe long-term water supply.
