Ben has more than 15 years of experience as a professional geoscientist with a background that spans sedimentology, sediment remediation, hydrogeology, geophysics, numerical modeling, and hydrocarbon exploration. He has managed field and laboratory studies in both urban to wilderness environments using a variety of techniques and instrumentation. Ben has evaluated tailings slurry deposition strategies; characterized oil sands tailings deposits for mine operators; and developed hydrodynamic and sedimentologic numerical models to support contaminated sediment remediation, water quality improvements, and environmental litigation.
