John has five decades years of experience in environmental management and compliance. Since 1974, he has helped representatives of the mining industry negotiate with state and federal regulators; prepare, submit, and secure regulatory permits; and comply with regulatory requirements and permit conditions. John has also inspected and evaluated environmental aspects related to the siting, development, operation, and closure of mineral developments. In addition to his work with clients in the taconite, iron, lead, coal, and sulfide-minerals industries, he has assisted clients in the power, manufacturing, and refining sectors.
