Susan Steblay

Susan's 10 years of experience in mineral processing includes industries such as copper, gold, rare-earth elements, molybdenum, rhenium, and other precious metals. Susan has process and quality engineering experience in the regulated aerospace and medical device industries, including composite, resin, polymer, extrusion, and rocket-case production. She is an expert in the development of mass and water balances using METSIM software and is proficient using financial metrics to build a successful economic case for capital projects. She has familiarity with designing and optimizing processes in an ISO:9001 environment, resolving non-conformances, and participating in Nadcap audits.

At Barr, Susan specializes in process design, simulation, and process optimization. She optimizes manufacturing facilities using six-sigma and lean-manufacturing principles. She performs process design and hazard analysis, assists clients with technical issues, and delivers presentations and reports to clients.
