The Barr staff members involved in the conference include:
- Iván Contreras, who will serve as moderator for the “Static Liquefaction of Mine Tailings” technical session on February 28 at 10:00 a.m. Aaron Grosser, Jeong-Yun Won, and Kurt Schimpke helped organize the session.
- Joel Swenson, who will present the “A Retrospective on the Evolution of Geotechnical Sensing and Instrumentation for Monitoring at MnDOT” technical session on February 27 at 3:30 p.m.
- Mike Haggerty, who will serve as moderator for the “Overview of Recent Twin Cities Based Underground Projects” technical session on February 28 at 10:00 a.m. Mike will also present “Geotechnical Site Characterization for the I35W SSF for the Engineering Geology and Site Characterization” during a poster session on February 26 at 10:00 a.m.
- Jed Greenwood, who will join Iván Contreras to present “The Fully Softened Shear Strength of Lake Agassiz Clays for the Embankments, Dams, and Slopes” during a poster session on February 27 at 3:30 p.m.
- Md Zahidul Karim, who will present “Soil Properties Affecting the Onset of Erosion in Cohesive Soils for the Earthquake Engineering and Soil Dynamics” during a poster session on February 27 at 3:30 p.m.
- Brent Theroux, who will moderate the “68th University of Minnesota Geotechnical Conference Plenary Session 2” technical session on February 27 at 10:30 a.m. Brent will also moderate the “University of Minnesota Geotechnical Conference Track C” technical session on February 27 at 1:30 p.m. and the “University of Minnesota 68th Geotechnical Engineering Conference Concurrent Sessions, Part B.” technical session on February 27 at 3:30 p.m. Lastly, on February 28 at 8:00 a.m., he will moderate the “Local Governments and Geotechnical Topics: City of Minneapolis and Minnesota DOT” technical session.
- Aaron Grosser, who will join Jed Greenwood to present “Stabilization of a Large Landslide Impacting Highway 73 in the Missouri River Badlands at the Embankments, Dams, and Slopes” during a poster session on February 26 at 10:00 a.m.
