Barr to update groundwater model on aquifer in Crookston, Minnesota

To help estimate the long-term sustainable yield of its local water supply aquifer, the City of Crookston, Minnesota, is conducting a water supply sustainability study. Recently, Crookston’s city council authorized Barr to update an existing groundwater model of the city’s aquifer in support of the study.

The updated model will help the city better understand the local aquifer’s capacity to supply its own future water needs and to potentially contribute to a newly formed regional water cooperative.
