Dan Palo

Dan has 25 years of experience with process design, plant improvement, project management, and research and development for processes involving chemicals, fuels, minerals, and manufactured products. He frequently helps clients develop greenfield and brownfield projects, handling everything from assessment and improvement of existing circuits to full plant evaluations.

Dan’s technical work encompasses process design and modeling, development of new processes, mass and energy balances, equipment selection, cost estimating, and overall project coordination. He also leads and contributes to projects from the scoping and feasibility level on up, and his extensive background in applied R&D informs comparisons between technologies in various industries. Dan recently helped lead a novel direct air carbon-capture demonstration project in California.
